Overview
Grinding through small jobs with a cordless angle grinder is the use for this Craftsman tool, which ships with a guard, a wheel and a spanner wrench. The listing calls it a small angle grinder and sells the battery apart.
A cordless grinder that arrives with a wheel and guard is ready for light work once a battery is added. The limitation is that the battery platform is not named in the listing, so existing packs need checking, and the wattage appears in odd units.
Who it's for
A garage bench or truck box suits a small grinder that shares batteries with other cordless tools. Heavy fabrication work with large discs calls for a bigger grinder with a stated wheel diameter.
Pros and cons
- Wheel, guard and spanner included
- Cordless 20 volt operation
- High maximum speed
- Battery and charger sold separately
- Wheel diameter not stated
- Wattage given in odd units
Performance notes
Maximum speed sets how fast the rim of the wheel travels, and the wheel must carry at least that rating. A cordless motor draws on the battery, so how long a cut can run depends on the pack, which is not included. The guard and spanner wrench cover basic wheel changes.
