Overview
Street sessions that mix grip and slides call for a wheel like the Spitfire Tablet. It is an original shape with a straight cut profile, cast in Formula Four urethane that the maker calls fast and abrasion resistant.
A thin riding surface and a hard urethane make the Tablet quick and responsive, with a smooth slide and controllable grip. Fast rolling suits smooth ground. The limitation is that a hard wheel carries less cushion over cracks, and the listing offers no warranty.
Who it's for
Street and park skaters on smooth concrete who like a lively, sliding feel. Cruiser riders and anyone skating rough asphalt should choose a softer wheel.
Pros and cons
- Hard urethane for fast rolling
- Straight cut profile for slides
- Thin riding surface
- Abrasion resistant Formula 4
- Harsh over rough ground
- No warranty offered
- Bearings not included
Performance notes
Durometer is the main driver: a higher number is harder, which rolls fast and slides easily but gives less grip and cushion. A narrow contact patch reduces ground contact, which sharpens response. Wear resistance comes from the urethane blend, so the wheels hold their shape through repeated slides.
