Overview
A nursery shelf or dresser top holds the dome-shaped baby unit of this VTech monitor, which links wirelessly to a handheld parent unit. The listing names infrared light for night viewing, lullabies and a plastic enclosure.
What you get is a self-contained set: camera, parent screen and the common nursery features in one box, with no app to set up. The limit is that the listing gives no range figure and no pan or tilt, so the view stays fixed on whatever the camera faces.
Who it's for
A household with a baby sleeping in a nearby bedroom or nursery will find the screen, lullabies and temperature readout enough for daily checks. Parents wanting remote viewing from outside the house should look at a connected camera.
Pros and cons
- Dedicated parent screen
- Night vision with infrared light
- Lullabies and temperature sensor
- Two-way talk to the baby
- No phone connection
- Range not listed
- Alerts are audio only
- Indoor use only
Performance notes
The baby unit sends video and sound to the parent unit over a dedicated wireless link, so no home network is involved. Night vision relies on infrared light, which gives a black and white image in a dark room, while the field of view and zoom are fixed by the lens and digital cropping.
