Overview
A woodworker or DIYer finishing furniture and trim gets a corded random orbital sander with a dust bag, an operating manual and a pack of assorted sandpaper discs from coarse to fine.
The grit range in the box lets one sander go from stripping to final smoothing, and the dust bag captures part of the debris. How the discs attach and whether a vacuum hooks up are unaddressed, so extra sandpaper compatibility is unclear.
Who it's for
Home woodworkers and renovators sanding furniture, doors or trim get a light corded tool with discs included. Contractors who run all day, or who need a vacuum connection, should check for that port first.
Pros and cons
- Five grits in the box
- Dust bag included
- Corded steady power
- Light enough to hold
- Pad attachment method unstated
- Vacuum connection unclear
- Palm size limits large panels
Performance notes
A random orbital sander spins the pad while it oscillates, which scatters the scratch pattern and reduces visible swirl marks. The grit sets the cut rate, so coarse discs strip and fine discs smooth, and speed with light pressure gives the cleanest finish.
