Overview
An activated carbon filter is seated in the reservoir of this plastic carafe, and water drains through it by gravity into the jug below. The 126858 is a freestanding pour-through pitcher with no installation.
Light plastic and a carbon filter make it an everyday jug for a small household. The listing is brief on what the filter reduces and how long it lasts, and the plastic grade is only described as high quality.
Who it's for
A small household that wants a light, basic pitcher fits the plan. Anyone who wants a glass container or specific contaminant data should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Light plastic carafe
- Activated carbon filtration
- Freestanding, no installation
- Filter life not stated
- No contaminant claims given
- Plastic grade only vaguely described
Performance notes
Carbon media adsorbs chlorine and taste compounds as water drains through under gravity, so pour speed depends on the fill level and filter condition. Over time the flow slows, and that is the practical cue to change the cartridge.
