Performance notes
The conical self-drilling tip is meant to bite into gypsum board directly, so installation is knock the anchor in, then drive the screw through the fixture into it, with no drill needed for the anchor itself. The ribbed fins expand against the back of the drywall as the screw tightens, and that is what carries the load rather than friction alone. Removing the screw later leaves the anchor in place for reuse, and the anchor itself can be backed out too.
