Overview
A golfer who wants distances without a laser gets satellite positioning from this Izzo Swami, shown on a touchscreen. Bluetooth is listed, and it uses three satellite systems for the position fix.
Satellite maps and a touch interface make hole layouts easy to read, and the battery life is listed. The listing does not give the course count, subscription terms or screen unit.
Who it's for
A player who wants hole maps and distances shown on a screen. A golfer who needs exact distance to a single object, such as a flag in trees, should consider a laser unit.
Pros and cons
- Long battery life
- Three satellite systems
- Course coverage not listed
- Screen unit not stated
- No laser measuring
- Subscription terms not listed
Performance notes
Position comes from satellite signals, so accuracy depends on a clear view of the sky and the number of systems tracked. Multi-system support helps under trees. Distances are to mapped points, not to whatever you point the unit at.
