Overview
PlayBetter supplies this Bushnell Tour V7 Shift laser rangefinder as a kit with a case and cleaning towels. The plastic body is built for golf, measuring distance to a target with a laser held to the eye.
The kit saves a separate trip for a case and cloth, and the battery arrives in the box. The listing is thin on features, so slope, pin-seeking and lens coating details cannot be confirmed from it.
Who it's for
A casual or regular golfer who plays from the fairway and wants a pocketable distance tool. Hunters or shooters should look elsewhere, since the listing names golf as the only sport.
Pros and cons
- Compact body fits a pocket
- Battery included in the box
- Case and microfiber towel included
- Two year limited warranty
- Water resistance rating not listed
- No feature bullets in the listing
- Plastic body only
- Slope and pin-seeking support unconfirmed
Performance notes
A laser rangefinder times the return of a light pulse from the target, so a steady hand and a clear line to the flag decide how reliable a reading is. Magnification helps you pick out the flag among trees, and a clean lens stops readings from dropping out.
