Best OverallA boxed supply of size five Pampers Swaddlers with a cotton lining and no parabens. Absorbency hours and water resistance are not listed, so those claims rest on the brand alone.
A big pack of size one Pampers Swaddlers for a baby in the first months. A practical stock-up, though the listing says the diaper is not water resistant.
A jumbo pack of size one Pampers Swaddlers for the earliest weeks. Good for stocking up, though a baby will outgrow the size fast.
A large count of disposable infant diapers with a breathable liner, suited to families buying in bulk. The listing shows conflicting size labels, so confirm the size before ordering.
Diapers sized for the first weeks at home, with a cotton lining plus a free-from list. The weight range is narrow, so a fast-growing baby will move on soon.
A newborn size one Pampers Swaddlers pack for babies in the first weight band. The unit count is listed as one while the pack weighs ten pounds, so confirm the diaper count before ordering.
A pack of size five Pampers Swaddlers with a breathable lining and a latex free build. It fits the listed weight band and nothing outside it.
A size four Pampers Swaddlers pack with a cotton lining and no fragrance. The weight range reads oddly and the listing says not water resistant, so check both before relying on it.
A large carton of newborn diapers for babies under a low weight limit, with an absorbent liner for urine and fecal protection. The short weight range means a baby will outgrow this size within weeks.
Disposable swim pants in a larger toddler size with Finding Nemo prints. They are listed for swimming, and the listing gives no absorbency or leak details.
Disposable swim pants for toddlers in a small size, with an animal print. They are listed for swimming only, with no absorbency hours given.
A small pack of large disposable swim diapers for children over a higher weight line. The listing offers little beyond size and count, so details are thin.
A box of small disposable swim diapers with cartoon designs, free of fragrance, lotion, paraben, chlorine and natural rubber latex. The weight range is moderate, so check it against the child.
Disposable swim pants from Huggies in the extra small size. Made for the pool, and the listing's bed wetting label conflicts with its swimming use.
A small pack of Huggies Little Snugglers for newborns, with a cotton lining and a long stated absorbency. A trial pack for the first days, and not a supply for weeks.
A large box of disposable Huggies in size four with a CloudSoft lining and a broad weight range. The listing gives no absorbency hours or free-from claims.
A small pack of size six Huggies Snug and Dry with a quilted liner, free of fragrance and paraben. The material entry reads rubber, which is unusual, so treat that line with care.
A large pack of size four Huggies Snug & Dry diapers with a quilted lining and a stated absorbency. Well matched to a toddler in the middle of the weight band.
A bulk box of size six Huggies Snug and Dry for the heaviest babies, with a cotton lining and long absorbency. The listed item weight is clearly wrong, so ignore it.
A jumbo pack of size six Huggies Snug and Dry for heavy babies, with long listed absorbency. The listing contradicts itself on materials, so use the size and weight range to decide.
A boxed supply of size three infant diapers with a cotton lining and no fragrance. The listing is oddly detailed about a single diaper's weight and thin on everything else, so check the size on the box.
A very large pouch of size three Huggies with a GentleAbsorb liner and no scent. Water resistance is not stated, so the listing is silent on leak protection beyond the absorbency window.
A bulk box of size two Huggies Snug and Dry with a cotton blend lining. The weight range is listed without a unit and the listing marks them not water resistant.
A big jumbo pack of infant diapers in a mid size for babies of middle weight. The listing gives no absorbency hours, so plan around the weight range.

These 10 diapers are the most searched brands and models among the established products in this category (monthly searches for each brand and model); on a tie, the one with more owner ratings ranks first. Product data comes from public Amazon listings (updated 2 days ago). We do not test products ourselves.
HUGGIES, PAMPERS, Luvs, The Honest Company, Hello Bello lead this category among the 46 brands that passed our curation checks.
A listing appears only when it has a recorded price, a minimum customer rating, and enough ratings or monthly sales. Generic and unbranded listings are left out, while every real brand stays, including brands sold only on Amazon. The ones that pass are ordered by how many people search for that brand and model each month; review counts only break ties.
Disposable diapers are discarded after a change, while reusable cloth diapers need laundering and may combine a separate absorbent insert with an outer cover. That choice affects how you handle changes away from home: cloth means carrying used diapers back for washing, while disposables need a suitable place for disposal. Within either format, start with the fit for your baby's current weight and build.
Use the maker's wearer weight guidance as the starting point for sizing. Among the 94 products that list weight range, most fall between 8 and 35 pounds, and 16 pounds is typical. Babies within the same weight band can need different fits around the thighs and waist, so a size label should lead you to the listing's sizing chart. Look for leg openings that sit snugly without gaps and a waistband that allows comfortable movement without digging in. For adjustable cloth diapers, check how the rise and waist settings accommodate your baby's proportions. Item weight is not the baby's weight allowance, and a listed length may describe folded diapers or packaging.
Next, choose absorbency for the interval between your usual changes: daytime use and longer overnight stretches can call for different designs. Claims about hours of protection depend on how much the baby wets and how frequently changes are needed, so compare the stated conditions with your routine. Fastening style also affects changes: tabs let you open the diaper fully while the baby lies down, while pull-on styles may suit standing changes; look for tear-away sides for soiled removal. For swimming, select diapers explicitly intended for that use. A Water Resistant filter value does not tell you whether a diaper is suitable for a pool.
Before ordering, establish whether a cloth listing includes a complete diaper, an absorbent insert, or a cover, and whether any required companion pieces are supplied or sold separately. Material entries such as Pulp, Cotton, or Rubber do not identify which layer they describe; consult the construction details for the skin-contact lining, absorbent section, and outer cover. For reusable components, read each part's washing and drying instructions, including restrictions on detergents or additives, and check whether replacement inserts and covers are available in the required fit.
