Overview
Not a corded tool, this PORTER-CABLE saw runs on a battery and is listed with a capacity figure and a high speed steel material. It is light, and the saw style is not described.
A battery supply and low weight make it easy to carry between tasks. The limitation is the thin listing: saw style, cutting element and battery are all unnamed.
Who it's for
Tasks away from an outlet, using an existing battery system, are the situation. Shoppers who need to know the cutting style or want a bundled battery should look for a fuller listing.
Pros and cons
- Cordless battery operation
- Capacity figure stated
- Speed rating stated
- Saw style never stated
- Cutting element not described
Performance notes
The battery-driven motor sets the speed, listed as a revolutions rating. Run time follows the battery capacity, which the listing omits. The stated capacity figure frames how large a piece it can work on.
