Overview
Casting medium heavy lures at snook, cobia or striped bass is the job this Shimano rod is listed for. It uses the spinning technique, breaks into two sections and is made from a blend material.
The reason to consider it is a heavier power rod with inshore species named. The limits are the conflicting length figures and a line weight entry that reads like a data error. Confirm both before choosing a reel.
Who it's for
A saltwater or brackish water angler targeting strong fish who wants a rod that separates. Light tackle anglers, or buyers who need clean length and line figures, should choose another listing.
Pros and cons
- Medium heavy power
- Two piece design
- Large game fish named
- Spinning technique stated
- Length figures disagree
- Line weight entry looks wrong
- Action rating missing
Performance notes
Medium heavy power gives the backbone for heavier lures and stronger fish, and length affects casting distance. The two section design adds a joint, which can change the flex. The conflicting length and line entries limit what can be concluded.
