Overview
Fishing small lures for bass on casting gear is the setting for a one-piece graphite rod with a carbon grip and a Ci4+ reel seat. The model name flags BFS, and the blank is carbon-wrapped for stiffness.
Ultra light power and a fast tip make this a small-lure rod for open casting, and the carbon construction is built to transmit bites. Its narrow focus is the limit, since heavy lines and big baits fall outside the ratings given.
Who it's for
Someone casting small lures for bass on a casting reel and valuing a sensitive grip. Anglers throwing heavy baits or fishing thick cover need more power than this.
Pros and cons
- Ultra light power for small lures
- Fast action blank
- Carbon-wrapped blank construction
- Hollow carbon grip
- One-piece rod is long to transport
- Lure weight entry unusable
- Light line rating limits big fish
Performance notes
A fast tip loads quickly on short casts, and ultra light power lets the blank flex enough to throw small lures. Carbon wrapping adds rigidity against twist, while the hollow carbon grip transmits bites. A light rating on the line and an unusable lure weight field mean heavy lures are better left alone.
