Overview
CAP Barbell makes this long bar from alloy steel, with a knurled grip between the sleeves. Plates with a two inch center hole slide on at either end.
The reason to consider it is the full length with an Olympic sleeve and a chrome finish for a home gym. The limitation is the modest load rating and missing shaft length and care information.
Who it's for
Home gym owners who load Olympic plates for presses, squats and pulls can use it as a general bar. Heavy lifters who need a higher rating, or who want details on whip and tensile strength, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Full length Olympic bar
- Alloy steel build
- Olympic sleeve size
- Moderate load rating
- Shaft length not listed
- Care instructions not listed
Performance notes
The shaft diameter and the alloy steel set how much the bar flexes under weight. Knurling adds friction for the hands on pulls and presses.
