Overview
Not an infant seat, the Diono 56250 is a booster for a toddler or older child, using the vehicle seat belt for installation and facing forward. Eleven height positions adjust it, and the foam is in Black Storm.
A wide range of weight and height lets one booster follow a child for years, and the many positions help fit it to smaller or taller kids. The listing lists a rear-facing weight and a seat belt harness type that sit oddly with a forward-facing booster.
Who it's for
Parents of a child past the toddler stage who rides forward facing and uses the vehicle belt. Those who need a harnessed seat or a seat for an infant should choose a different car seat.
Pros and cons
- Wide weight range
- Wide height range
- Many height positions
- Seat belt installation
- Fields conflict on rear facing
- Harness type listed oddly
- Contents not itemized
- Not for infants
Performance notes
A booster lifts the child so the vehicle belt crosses the shoulder and hips correctly, so the height position matters more than any other setting. More positions give a better match as the child grows. Foam padding adds comfort, and the listing notes no cleaning steps.
