Best OverallAn oversized Pokemon-themed Razer cloth mat that covers a whole desk setup, with rubber foam and an anti-slip base. The weight and thickness figures in the listing disagree.
A soft, cushioned cloth mouse pad with a licensed Cinnamoroll design for gamers and fans who want both looks and tracking. The medium size suits compact desks, not wide arm sweeps.
A thick cloth mousepad with a grippy base for gamers who want control and wrist comfort. Its cloth surface is slower than a hard pad for very fast flicks.
A cloth gaming pad from Japan for players who want a knitted surface over a medium firm foam core. The listed size units look wrong for an XL pad, so confirm the dimensions with the seller.
A fast, hard glass mat for gamers who want low friction glide and an easy to clean surface. The listing gives no dimensions, so check the size against your desk before ordering.
A good match for players who want hard pad speed with a mat that rolls into a bag. The large size covers the mouse area only, not a keyboard.
An ultra-thin tempered glass mat with a very fast glide and tracking tuned for optical sensors. The hard surface is not for players who want a soft, slow pad.
Popular PickA hard-surface wireless charging mat with a puck that installs in a compatible Razer mouse, for gamers who do not want to plug in. Only named Razer mice are supported.
A large soft cloth mouse pad in the medium-friction Balance setting, with a foam core and an anti-slip base. It is made for competitive play and travels rolled up.
A roomy desk mat for gamers who want mouse and keyboard on one cushioned surface that wipes clean. Its full desk width needs a wide desk to lie flat.
An oval mouse pad with a gel wrist rest, a Lycra cloth top and a non-slip PU base. Weight and thickness are not listed.
A letter-size black mouse pad with an Excel shortcut reference printed on it, stitched edges and a rubber base. It is a single pad, not a desk-wide mat.
A large rectangular desk mat printed with a map of the world, washable and anti-fray. The cloth material is not listed.
A gel wrist rest mouse pad built around a tilted, more ergonomic shape, backed by a warranty longer than most in this category once registered.
A small round pink marble mouse pad with a non-slip rubber base. It covers only a mouse area and has no wrist rest or keyboard space.
A low-cost way to cover several desks with matching, waterproof mouse pads, though there is no buyer feedback yet on how the stitching holds up long term.
A thin hard aluminum mouse pad with two surfaces, waterproof and meant for gaming and office use. It has no cushioning, and the double-sided surface details are not described.
A wide, lit cloth mouse mat for a gaming desk that wants room for both a mouse and a keyboard. The lighting is its main extra, so it is more than a plain pad needs to be.
An extended white topographic-map desk mat with stitched edges and an anti-slip rubber base. It spans the full working area, and no washing instructions are given.
A wide cloth mouse pad with built-in lighting and USB ports, sized to carry both a keyboard and a mouse. It takes a lot of desk width.
A compact blue mouse pad with an attached gel wrist rest and a non-skid base. The listing gives no weight, surface material or tracking compatibility.
An extended desk pad with Excel shortcut keys printed across it. It is washable, but washing steps are not given.
A large dark grey felt desk mat with a thin build and a short warranty. The base material is not stated.
An oval pink mouse pad with an integrated gel wrist rest in a stain-resistant faux leather finish. The listing gives no weight and no sensor compatibility.

A listing appears only when it has a recorded price, a minimum customer rating, and enough ratings or monthly sales. Generic and unbranded listings are left out, while every real brand stays, including brands sold only on Amazon. The ones that pass are ordered by how many people search for that brand and model each month; review counts only break ties.
Mouse pads come as flexible fabric pads, rigid pads and versions with a raised wrist rest; flexible pads can often be rolled for storage, while rigid pads need space to stay flat. Start with how much cushioning you want beneath the tracking surface, considering any raised wrist support separately. Desk Pads & Blotters may cover the same desk area, but check that their surface is intended for mouse tracking before buying one for that job.
Thickness matters when deciding how much padding you want between your hand and the desk. Among the 22 products that list item thickness, most fall between 0.1 and 0.2 inches, and 0.1 inches is typical. Thickness alone cannot tell you how soft a pad feels: a dense base may compress less than a softer one of similar depth. Check the base material as well as thickness when comparing cushioning. For a pad with a raised wrist rest, compare the support height with your mouse and usual hand position; avoid a combination that forces your wrist to bend upward.
Size the usable mouse area around your actual movements. If you use low pointer sensitivity, leave enough room for broad sweeps without reaching an edge. If your keyboard will share the pad, measure the combined layout and check how much mouse space remains beside it. Surface texture affects how readily the mouse starts moving and how easily you stop it, so look for descriptions of smooth glide or greater friction according to the control you prefer. A gripping underside also matters when you frequently reposition the mouse: look for backing intended to grip your desk’s finish.
Before buying, check your mouse manufacturer’s guidance for the proposed surface, particularly if the pad is glossy, transparent or reflective, since sensor compatibility varies. Inspect close-up images of the front edge for stitching or a raised border where your forearm will rest. For cleaning, follow the instructions for the complete pad: a washable fabric surface does not mean its backing, adhesive or wrist cushion tolerates soaking or machine washing. If the pad contains a gel wrist rest, check whether the cover can be removed for cleaning or must be wiped in place.
