Overview
A receiving element collects over-the-air television signals and passes them down the cable to a TV tuner. Winegard supplies mounting hardware with the antenna, and the body is finished in silver.
Winegard lists the HD7694P as a long range antenna and includes the hardware to put it up. The range figure is stated in feet rather than miles, so treat it as a rough indicator and compare it against your distance from the broadcast towers.
Who it's for
Households that want free broadcast channels and are ready to mount an antenna with the supplied hardware suit this model. Buyers who need a compact unit or published coverage in miles should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Mounting hardware included
- Sold as a long range TV antenna
- One year limited warranty
- Dimensions not listed
- Range stated in feet only
- Channel figure is unexplained
Performance notes
Reception depends on distance to the transmitters, the height of the mounting point and anything blocking the path, such as trees or hills. The antenna and cable impedance must match the TV input for a clean signal. The listing gives range in feet and no coverage map, so real results vary by location.
