Overview
Sanding by random orbit action, this corded BLACK+DECKER pairs a round pad with a bag for fine debris. One sanding sheet comes in the box to start work.
A corded motor gives constant power with no battery to charge, and the bag collects debris at the source. The limitation is thin detail on pad attachment and speed control: only one maximum speed is listed.
Who it's for
Weekend projects on tables, doors and trim fit a light corded sander. Contractors sanding large surfaces all day need bigger pads and more power.
Pros and cons
- Corded, no battery to charge
- Dust bag included
- Sanding sheet included
- Limited manufacturer warranty
- Pad attachment style not listed
- Only one speed figure given
- One sheet only in the box
Performance notes
Random orbit motion overlaps each pass so scratch marks are spread out rather than lined up, which lowers the chance of visible swirls. Pad speed and the grit of the sheet decide how fast material comes off. Dust collection works through the bag, so emptying it regularly means airflow stays up.
