Our verdict

A corded SKIL sander with a high rated speed. The listing is thin: it names only power, speed and weight, so confirm pad size and paper type before buying.

Overview

Not a battery tool, this SKIL sander plugs into a wall outlet and spins at a fast rated speed. The listing names only the electrical figures and weight, with no pad size or accessories described.

The reason to buy is the strong motor rating and the fast top speed for a corded sander. The limitation is how little the listing says, so pad type, dust handling and what is in the box are all unknown.

Who it's for

Home owners who already know which sanding sheets they use can treat this as a bare corded sander. Buyers who want a complete kit with papers and dust collection should look at listings that name them.

Pros and cons

Pros

Motor current listed
Fast rated speed
Corded steady power

Cons

Pad size not listed
Accessories not described

Performance notes

Motor rating and rotational speed drive how fast material comes off, and a corded motor holds that speed without a battery fading. Results depend on grit and pad type, neither of which is described here.
