Overview
Converting from rear-facing to forward-facing as the child grows, the Saffron SI is a convertible seat with a polyester cover. It installs in the vehicle with either Latch or the seat belt.
One seat that handles both orientations means a single purchase from the newborn stage onward. The listing states the weight capacity and install methods but leaves out harness details, height limits and the rear-facing weight range, so those need confirming elsewhere.
Who it's for
A new parent planning for a seat that changes orientation as the child grows will find the age range useful. Families who need published harness, height or rear-facing weight limits before ordering should look for a listing that states them.
Pros and cons
- Rear-facing and forward-facing use
- Latch or seat belt installation
- Covers newborn through toddler
- Polyester fabric cover
- Harness details not listed
- Height limits missing from listing
- Rear-facing weight range missing
Performance notes
Orientation changes how the child is restrained, so the seat has to be reinstalled when switching from rear-facing to forward-facing. Using the Latch or seat belt path correctly, with the seat pulled tight against the vehicle seat, decides how firmly it stays put.
