Overview
Installing with the vehicle seat belt, the Joie Rue is a rear-facing infant seat sold with an anti-rebound base, covered in polyester.
A base and seat pair suits a parent who wants an infant seat belted in and ready for rides from the newborn stage. The limitation is how much stays unstated: height limits, harness and canopy are all missing.
Who it's for
Parents preparing for a newborn who plan to belt the base into the car can follow the listing. A toddler household, or a buyer who needs published height limits, should look at another kind of seat.
Pros and cons
- Rear-facing infant design
- Anti-rebound base named
- Seat belt installation
- Covers newborn stage
- Latch not listed
- Height limits missing
- Short use at this weight limit
Performance notes
An anti-rebound base is meant to limit how far the seat moves back toward the vehicle seat after a frontal impact, which is the mechanism the name describes. It depends on correct belt routing and a tight fit, and the listing offers no further install steps.
