Overview
SKIL builds this mouse-style detail sander to reach corners and tight spots that a full-size sander cannot. It plugs into a wall outlet, collects dust in an attached box, and comes with a few sheets of sanding paper to get started.
The reason to buy is the compact shape and the dust box, which suits corners, small repairs and craft work. The limitation is that speed and pad size are missing from the listing, so large surfaces will go slowly.
Who it's for
Hobbyists and DIY owners who refinish small pieces will use the compact shape. Anyone sanding large flat panels should choose a bigger sander with a wider pad.
Pros and cons
- Reaches into corners
- Dust box included
- Sanding papers included
- Corded, no battery to charge
- Pad size not listed
- Speed not listed
- Cord limits reach
Performance notes
The small pad concentrates pressure on a tight area, so results depend on light, even passes. Medium grit removes old finish and smooths rough wood before a finer paper is used. The dust box catches most debris but needs emptying as it fills.
