Overview
A first-time owner gets a corded SKIL sander with three attachments, a micro-filter dust box and a stack of sanding sheets. The attachments change what the sander can reach, across different surfaces.
The reason to buy is the number of attachments and sheets, which makes it ready for several small jobs from one purchase. The limitation is the small pad and modest motor rating, so large flat areas take time.
Who it's for
Crafters, furniture refinishers and home owners tackling small projects get a lot from the attachments. Anyone sanding large surfaces will need a larger orbital model.
Pros and cons
- Three attachments included
- Micro-filter dust box
- Twelve sanding sheets
- Corded steady power
- Small pad slows large areas
- Attachment types not named
- Dust box needs emptying
Performance notes
Spinning speed and pad size set how quickly material comes off, and attachments change the contact shape. Medium grit levels rough spots and old finish before a finer paper. The micro-filter dust box traps fine dust, but a full box reduces collection.
